Revolt

Revolt is a chat platform that duplicates the concept of Discord. It's open-source and in active developement. The advantages are the fact Revolt complies with GDPR, and are more protective over privacy.

Features

Revolt is still in mid-dev, therefore it may lack features unlike Discord, such as :

• Video Recording
• Screensharing
• Avatar decorations/Animated avatar
• Stickers and pre-embedded Tenor GIF selector

Currently there are no paid features on Revolt. But rumors and leaks said that there will be a subscription in a undefined amount of time.

There are also features that you can find for free on Revolt such as :

• Profile Banner
• 2000 character limit on messages
• Server banner
• Using external emojis/animated emojis

Community

Revolt has, a quite large community for a very unknown platform in comparison with Discord. Popular and grown servers will be shown in the Discovery page in the client.
