Stoat

Stoat (formely Revolt) is a chat platform that duplicates the concept of Discord. It's open-source and in active developement. The advantages are the fact it complies with GDPR, and are more protective over privacy.

Features

Stoat is still in mid-dev, therefore it may lack features unlike Discord, such as :

Avatar decorations/Animated avatar

Currently there are no paid features on Stoat. But rumors and leaks said that there will be a subscription in a undefined amount of time.

Community

Stoat has, a quite large community for a very unknown platform in comparison with Discord. Popular and grown servers will be shown in the Discovery page in the client.

History

The website turns online at 27th January 2021, aswell the first account, @insert, got created.

Revolt rebrands to Stoat

The 1st October 2025, Revolt suddently rebrands to Stoat. This is due to DMCA menaces by a U.S. based company also called "Revolt".
They alongside decided to push their W.I.P material you client which lead to confusion as it wasn't finished and still buggy and unoptimized.
