Wind messages

Wind messages, or winds in short, are possibly embarassing messages sent to be deleted directly a moment later.

Origin

On Revolt (at least), some people like to send embarassing, or dumb messages to delete them after. This is mostly a fun and comedic way to send and make laugh people.

However, many people uses this in public server by using possibly rule-breaking content or even illegal content. This caused many permanent bans on public Revolt servers.

Usage

Wind messages are usually produced by replying to a message using a comedic and embarassing text. It's sent and deleted immediately, generally by holding the caps and clicking the delete button, as it skips the confirmation dialog, causing members that didn't look at the chat confusion, but for people that had enough timing a shock.

A alternative way is to edit the message, which sometimes may be faster for most people, they may use "cough" as a editing example.

Proofing

Some people use a logging bot (such as AutoMod on Revolt) to prevent a harmful type of behavior including this technique.
